Year Three

Today marks another year in the books. Each Anniversary we try to let all of our readers in on a more candid look at our lives. This year, we want to let you into our home.

We purchased our first place in Los Angeles in January 2013, a couple of months after we were married. Our townhouse in The South Bay has become much more than just a house, it's become our Safe Haven.

Lots of people may call the idea of interior design or buying furniture as being 'materialistic.' I disagree. My girl Oprah says, "Your home should rise up to greet you." (Sometimes I say that while ingesting her lovely, chai tea. What a juggernaut that one is...)

Everyday, I want to wake up and be proud of the space I created. I don't want it just to be a place where I reside, but a place where memories are held between the walls.

And while I love every minute of getting to be creative and artsy with it, in the end it's all about who's inside.

Kyle and the Har-man, whether we end up in a shack on the beach or a big house in the country, you will always be my home.

All my love.
xx

Emmy Awards

Did you watch the Emmy's last night? Here are my picks for Best & Worst Dressed:

Best Dressed: Kerry Washington in Marc Jacobs. It's a flirty, fun and still makes a statement on the carpet. Plus, she gets bonus points since TGIT starts this Thursday. CAN. NOT. WAIT.

Best Dressed Runner-Up:
Claire Danes in Prada. Listen I know the Kardashians have made the world go gaga over boobs and asses, but I love and appreciate a flat chested woman. I actually prefer it, especially when they rock it. Represent girl.

Worst Dressed: Heidi Klum in Versace. You need to tell this dress "Auf Wiedersehen."

Worst Dressed Runner-Up: Tracee Ellis Ross in Zac Posen. I know we once took a workout class together and bonded over the fact that we were the two in the back that totally sucked, but I can't give you a pass on this Little House on the Prairie get up. It's Bad-ish.

Holiday Weekend Weddings

What is your verdict on Holiday Weekend Weddings? Yay or Nay? I'm conflicted. On one hand, it works out nicely because it's one less day you have to take off of work to travel for these shindigs, but on the other hand, it's one less long weekend that's actually yours.

Maybe it is also dependent on the weekend... Columbus Day, President's Day -- have at it. Labor Day, Memorial Day -- we're on a slippery slope here. Thanksgiving or Christmas -- who do you think you are? Nothing comes between me and stuffing. Nothing.

Obviously if you are my friend, I will be there no matter what. And if you keep them drinks flowing, I will most likely forgive you rather quickly. Throw in a couple slices of cake and we'll call it a wash.

Labor Day

Welp, in honor of the weekend, I did some labor. Here's a behind the scenes look at where the action really takes place on Fashion Police -- The Control Room.

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend!
