Biggest Nutrition Tip for 2015

Water.

Yes, it's really that simple.

I am the very definition of a yo-yo dieter. Atkins? South Beach? Shakes that taste like shit? Yep, I've tried them all...

And after reading up on all of the dieting tips and tricks and hearing my mom repeat everything she just watched on Dr. Oz (I swear if he said cat piss would make you skinny, she go out and rescue one and proceed to drink a gallon because 'Dr. Oz said so'...and then I would too), but the one constant tip was always about drinking water.

You'd think that my twenty-nine-year-old self with obvious circulation problems (hello blood clot!) would have listened, but I always like to take things slow. Hence owning a flip phone until 2012.

It wasn't until I started seeing a health coach in August that I realized just how important water really is. Now obviously you can't wash this down every day with a Big Mac and side of fries, but you will see a dramatic difference in your weight if you partner this with small meals throughout the day.

My goal is 100 ounces of water a day. It seems like a lot, but I suggest buying a 32 oz. water bottle like the one shown above. You only need three a day. I bought one for home and one for work, so I never have the excuse that it isn't around.

Kyle can attest that I have become a water bottle Nazi. I bought him a blue one and put him on the plan as well. And I do not drink water out of anything but this bottle, that way I know the exact amount I've consumed each day. It even made an appearance at our Thanksgiving table!

I've noticed a major difference with my weight, skin, and hunger during these past four months and a lot of that is thanks so some quality H20.

I wish there was a magic pill, but there isn't (Trust me, my mom and I would have found it by now). So try this out for January and let me know if you notice a difference as well.

Happy Hydrating my friends!
